DOL Temporary Rule Issued (Added 4.6.20) The Department of Labor (DOL) has released a temporary rule implementing the leave provisions of the FFCRA. The temporary rule was released on April 1, 2020 and is effective immediately. It defines key terms and makes important clarifications regarding the leave requirements. Compliance Recommendations: Employers with fewer than 500 employees should review policies and practices to ensure compliance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and train supervisors on how to respond when employees request such leave.
